When we first approached this project, many people were worried that I was in over my head, including myself.
We bought 13 houses at once, auctioned some of them off, did a couple quick fix and flips, lost a little bit of money at the auction block, made a little money back on the flips, and focused our energy on these four houses in the same square block of Volusia street in East Wichita.
Projects like these test the fabric of your team like nothing else. If you can’t keep everyone together and on the same page, dialed in on the same goal, doing something this big with so much at stake is likely to fall apart.
And this is why I stress time and time again how important building a proper team is.
